Pool Rummy

1. A player must form at least two sequences, out of which one must be a pure sequence.
2. A pure sequence is a sequence in which all the cards are of the same suit and are in consecutive order.
3. A player can use the joker card as a substitute for any card to form a valid set or sequence.
4. A player must pick a card from the closed deck or the open deck before discarding a card.
5. A player must discard only one card at a time to the open deck.
6. The player who declares their hand first and has the least number of points wins the game.

Sequence in Indian Rummy

Sequence is a combination of three or more cards arranged in consecutive order. There are two types of sequences:

Pure Sequence: A sequence of consecutive cards of the same suit (7♠️, 8♠️, 9♠️). Joker/wild joker cannot be used to make a pure sequence.

Impure Sequence: A sequence of same suited consecutive cards formed with a Joker/wild joker (7♠️, 8♠️, Joker).

Sets in Indian Rummy

Set is a combination of three or more cards of the same value but of different suits (6♠️, 6♥️, 6♦️). A joker/wild joker can be used to make a set (6♠️, 6♥️, Joker).

Joker

Jokers are one of the most important cards in Rummy and can make or break your game depending on how you use them. As per rummy rules, jokers can be substituted to form impure sequences or sets. Joker cards cannot be used to form pure sequences.

There are two types of jokers: printed jokers and wild jokers:

6. Leave Table: If you quit after picking a card, you will get a middle drop and get a penalty of 40 points.
